I-Pot
Nowadays many people are too busy to take care of a home plant. “I Pot” is an intelligent flower pot which can look after plants automatically and give off an alarm notice in case of an emergency, according to the plant’s need. It also updates the growth parameters of plants via the network. The unit consists of a mini computer, a display, a video camera and online connectivity, all of which are readily available technologies. “I Pot” is an efficient communications device acting between the plant and its owner.

Finding of the jury:
This project presents a new approach towards the traditional view of a home plant. It represents an effort to rethink about how to free busy people from the trouble of taking care of a plant. Looking after the plants automatically and sounding the alarm when there is an emergency are the main functions of this smart device, which is able to translate the language of plants to its user. This is a modern piece of technology and a piece of art at the same time.
