Distributing Computing Disk Station
Placing the hard disks and their functions on the outside makes computing with “Distributed Computing” safer than on conventional systems. The right orange disk serves as system maintenance, the three blue movable disks (D: E: F:) store important information that can be accessed when “Distributed Computing” is called upon, therefore avoiding loss of information. Inside the left side of the station is a large unmovable disk for the storage of common files. This design guarantees that personal documents can be saved effectively.

Finding of the jury:
The “D.C. Station” is a well-designed product in terms of its simplicity in form and richness in function, which reflects the creative capacity of the designers and their concern about the overconcentrated infrastructure of our industrialized world.
