The people, especially those with any type of handicap, deserve to have products that can improve their quality of life. In this case, tALKI is aimed at persons with verbal language difficulties, which limit communication and hinder learning as well as social development.

The tALKI aids persons with language/communication problems provoked by neuromuscular alterations, lack of hearing, cerebral alterations, malformations or deformations in the phono articulator (voice box) and by incorrect habits.
By way of exercises whose results are visualized in the display, the user can practice to correct a problem with pronunciation, intonation, articulation, volume, omissions in some phoneme, bad breathing patterns etc.

tALKI is a practical, portable tool to aid laguage therapies, aimed principally towards children, since the exercises are presented as games that are controlled with the voice.

  Finding of the jury:
This product was an interesting point of discussion, because it touches a special theme of the child like development that requires a attention. The result of design is positive since offers a simple and attractive object with a friendly interface for the processing of a problem that is difficult to handle for the Kid. The proposal requires more investigation on the functional viability of the interface and on the effectiveness degree of the therapeutic results that are proposed.
